taking time to stop and give thanks [thanksgiving 2013] | holiday hours Nashville Family Child Photography

Day 2 was a busy day! Brand new families, multi-generational families, and lots of happy, smiling kids! Here is a quick sneak peek with a few of my favorites from the event from those who would allow me to share! Thanks to everyone who came out on Sunday. I’m wrapping up my shooting season and getting busy editing all of the amazing sessions I’ve held this month. Thanks to all of my khp clients for a fantastic fall season!
Day 1 is a wrap! Lots of great folks came out to the mini sessions! As always, I love seeing so many people in one day! Lots of old khp clients and some new friends as well! Take a look at a few of my favorites from the event from those who would allow me to share! Thanks to everyone who came out today!!
This season I introduced the ONE session, a new addition to the session options available at khp. One hour, one disc, one price. My clients seem to love this option, and the Gibson/Hillenmeyer family was no exception! A stunning day, squishy new babies, active toddlers and lots of love made this a great session that I was honored to capture. Mr. and Mrs. Gibson, you have a beautiful family! I hope you enjoy a glimpse of what is headed your way!
You can’t always predict how your kids will do on “picture” day. And when a 3 year old dozes off in the car on the way to a late afternoon session, it could get ugly. But not for these two and their adorable parents!
Thanks for choosing me to capture your family this Fall before you become a family of 5! I can’t wait to meet then next little “H”.

Sneak for the Rogers family | Fall Family Outdoor Brentwood Child Custom Portrait Session Photography
This is the 4th time I’ve welcomed the Rogers family to a khp session in the last 5 years. They are one of my oldest and most loyal client families and I appreciate them so much!!! Their kids have really grown since 2009 (and my work has improved a bit as well!) and I’m so grateful for families like the Rogers that have supported me from the beginning.
Thanks for trusting me with your family memories for another year, Rogers family. It was great to spend time with you and catch up!
parting shot (from 2009 – we’ve all grown a lot since then!):
Sneak Peek for the S family [fall ONE session] | Nashville Gallatin Fall Family Outdoor Portrait Photography
Absolutely adored meeting this family tonight. Their kids were awesome, beautiful and well behaved. They might have actually had a good time, too! Lots of laughs with the S family.
If you’ve been visiting here on the blog site for any length of time, you know I do my fair share of portrait sessions. I love my job and I love supporting my family with such an amazing career. I get to make money making memories for families and preserving their family legacy. It’s good stuff. But I also do a good bit of work that pays me in other ways. Whenever possible, I try to use my talents to benefit organizations and people that can use it because, frankly, giving feels good! This post isn’t meant to be a “look at what I do” post but more of a glimpse of some of the other things that happen at khp that I don’t as often blog about. I preach to my boys daily about giving and doing for others. I believe that having a servant’s heart is truly something to strive toward. So here’s a little bit of the cool stuff I’ve been involved in lately that I can share with you.
Tyler has been playing baseball for the first time this season. I was thrilled to capture the team for their team pictures this fall.
This weekend I was a volunteer photographer for the Autism Speaks Walk 2013 Event in downtown Nashville. Here’s a look at that morning through my lens.
What can you do with your ‘talent’ today? Encourage a friend, take a meal to someone who needs it, pay for the person behind you in the drive thru? It’s the little things that often go a long way. And if you are a photographer, please consider donating your time to Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. We are in desperate need of additional photographers in Nashville. Contact me if you’d like to hear more about it.
It may be September but Fall is here! Football is on TV and there is a cool breeze and daytime highs in the 70s! Tonight’s clients had the perfect weather for their early Fall session. And their clothing choices were excellent! I cannot wait for you to see this gorgeous family looking amazing in their “early fall” attire. Layers, coordinating midtone colors…I couldn’t asked for better! The kids were easy peasy and we had lots of laughs!
Hope you enjoy your sneak peek, B family! I have so many great images to show you! I can’t wait for you to see them all!
